A Letter To Manpreet

Dear Manpreet I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate every single thing you have done to make an improvement of my 2 years learning with you. You know you're a strict teacher but that's the kind of teacher I love and also I always know that you're strict because you're just trying to lead me to the right path of a good future. You know that no matter how angry you are with me you're still my favourite teacher no one will ever replace you. When you first told room 9 that you had another job and that you were going to leave I was so shocked and scared because I know that without you no one will ever teach me better than how you normally teach me and room 9. Don’t think that room 9 will be happy without you because you are absolutely wrong, think positive they will probably die without you but I'm not saying other teachers are not good at teaching i'm just saying that your the best teacher i've ever experience my 2 years of learning with. Please Manpreet always chase your dreams and make them come true.Room 9 will all know that you will become a principal one day if you will never ever give up no matter how hard you try, always try your best till you reach the end. If being a principal is what you want then that's your goal right? I have a lot to say and a lot to thank you for but just remember to win your goal. room 9 loves you. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Please don’t forget me! Best Regards: Victoria from Edmund Hillary School

 Are Heroes Ordinary People?

Are they?

Kia ora everyone, My name is Victoria

Today I will be speaking to you on the topic of heroes. Are heroes ordinary people?

Well In my opinion, I believe that heroes are ordinary people, because they

are born the same way as us, they bleed the same colour blood as us,

and they function the same way as us.The only reason  that makes them

seem different to the eyes of society is the way that they choose to impact

the world.

For example, singers. Some people see singers as heroes, because the

lyrics in their songs may help them with their everyday struggles.

Another example are police officers, doctors and nurses, lets not forget

about our  firefighters who are putting their lives on the line for us everyday,

Again, these people are ordinary people who are just like us, but they choose

to make a difference in the world everyday by taking extreme risks.

Have you ever heard of Sir Edmund Hillary?  Well, he was one of the bravest

men because he was the first, with the help of Tenzing Norgay to reach the

summit of Mount Everest. The highest mountain peak in the world!  Do you

know why he became a hero?    Not forgetting that in Nepal he built schools for

children who couldn’t afford to go school and in addition he also managed to build

hospitals and clinics . People in Nepal are very grateful for what he has done. Did you

know that even some of the trees in our school were actually planted by Sir Edmund

Hillary himself.

He is an inspiration to many people, including myself.

Now the question I would like to leave with you is, who is

your ordinary hero`

Are they motivating you to make a difference?

Thank you for your time and for listening

I hope you all enjoyed my speech.

This Is My Writing My Experience For My Second Lockdown

My Experience For My Second  Lockdown

My second lockdown in 2020 was a little bit better than my first lockdown.
In my second lockdown I was happy at first but as I was going through the
lockdown I started to miss school. For me in my second lockdown it was
hard to do online work cause there's no one there to actually explain what
my work is. So I just had to tell some of my classmates.

My second lockdown I had a sleepover at my cousin's house.
When we went shopping it was hard because we had to wait
in the line forever and we had to wear a mask which was hard
to breath in but it keeps us safe and sound. My lockdown was
amazing because I get to sleep in but I always keep track of
time so I don’t miss a hangout meeting .

The best thing about my lockdown is that I get to spend lots of time
with my family like helping my mom cook and helping her clean but
I still did online work. In lockdown I liked how I don’t have to get up
early and get ready. I can just relax but sometimes we have to get up early
but I was used to it. My experience for my second lockdown was amazing
but if we wanted to end covid-19 we will have to work together like a team
and not work against each other.

Why is it important to be kind and caring?

Some people think that kindness
is not important but little do they know that kindness
is everywhere. Kindness needs to spread all around the world.
Kindness should be the most important rule.

Kindness is when you help people or give them something
to cherish. Kindness is also when you show your love and
support to them.Kindness is very important because if
you help someone it just makes you feel like you have
accomplished something very important. If you want kindness
you have to give kindness.

Caring is important because we are all different human beings.
Some people are sick with disabilities and that they need more
support from us. Caring will make everyone feel happy about
themselves. If you were caring about others don’t do it because
you want a reward, do it to show kindness to everyone.

Caring is not all about the cute faces ,nice voices or powerful
people it is about the responsible heart that stays responsible
and that is full of kindness. If you see someone struggling
you go up to them and don't show them your lovely voice just
show them your responsible heart.

Kindness will lead you along a successful way. Spreading
kindness is like you spreading the sunshine to everyone's
lives. A little act of kindness might make a big difference
in the world. Always remember that kindness is not a chance,
it is a choice.

Caring and Kindness is very important because you never know
it might change the world into a better place. please if you
see someone who wants help just show them a little kindness.
So you can get kindness back.

Protect The Oceans

This is my poster on protect the oceans this poster shows rubbish that have been thrown into the ocean. I hope you enjoy

Wednesday, 17 June 2020

Why do our oceans need to be protected?

Why do our oceans need to be protected?
How would you feel if there were lots of plastic bottles and rubbish
all around your house ?

Sea creatures are suffering and dying from eating plastics.
All the plastics that go into the oceans sink down to the
bottom of the sea and all the sea creatures that swim down
into the deepness
will eat the plastics and suffer or die .
Plastics get sent into the sea almost every year.

Plastics that are found in the oceans turn into small and tiny little bits.
Some people think that sea creatures are powerless but no they are
not .It is so sad that sea animals have to suffer from all the plastics .
So we should start taking care of the environment so no one will have to suffer.
There are lots of things we can do to help reduce the environment.
We can drink water for taps but not plastic bottles cause they can harm sea animals.

Looking after the oceans is our problem we must work as a team
to help save oceans
and to save our environment
so we can all stay safe including the sea creatures .

My Lockdown Recount

My
experience during
lockdown.
My Experience During Lockdown

In New Zealand Lockdown had just started because
of a virus that has started  recently in China. That
virus was spreaded all around so we had to have a lockdown .
Everyone was so excited, mostly my parents and me because
they get to relax as I.

Once Jacaranda Arden said that we were having a lockdown.
I was really excited. I was jumping up and down just like a
kangaroo full with joy .I never had the most joyful day in my
life.Once lockdown started, all I  did every night  was sleep late
and wake up late. I was like a lazy sloth .

Three days passed during lockdown and I started to get bored.
The worst thing about lockdown is that I have to do lots of chores .
One day we went shopping for supplies that can last us during
lockdown but we needed to buy more later on.  We shopped at
the countdown but when we got to the countdown there was a
huge line so we had to wait 10 mins to go inside the countdown.
I felt so impatient .

Finally we were inside the countdown. We went to look for
plain flour because we really needed it but some of the
shelves were empty. I felt so angry so I had to calm myself
down and  went to the car to wait for my parent's . Other days
during lockdown we had an Easter hunt. It was so fun we also ate
yummy food and went for walks.

I repeated sleeping late and eating lots of food in the past 7
weeks during lockdown until we heard from the news that we
were moving down to level 2 and that school was gonna open .
I was so excited I got everything ready for when we go back
to school. I hope we never have to go into lockdown again but
at the same time I want to spend more time with my family.

kind, full and open hearted, people may judge you for who you are but on the brightside you always have someone there for you and that is a good friend. You may have an argument with them but at the bottom of their hearts they still love you and that is a good friend.

A pinch of silliness
A tablespoon of arguments
